Our Scoring Methodology
We evaluate each insurer across 6 categories using objective, verifiable criteria.
Last updated: April 2026
Why are we transparent?
At Revisa24, we believe transparency is fundamental for you to trust our recommendations. That's why we publish exactly how we calculate each score, what data we use, and how the weights are distributed across categories. We don't sell high scores. Affiliate links don't influence any score.
The 6 Scoring Categories
Price-Value Ratio
We compare the monthly premium against actual coverage scope. A $200/mo plan with $3.5M coverage and dental scores higher than a $200/mo plan with $1M and no dental.
Coverage Breadth
We evaluate: annual limit, geographic coverage, dental, vision, maternity, mental health, preventive care, chronic conditions, evacuation, and repatriation.
Flexibility
Free choice of doctor, territorial coverage (local vs. global), USA access, and maximum entry age.
Claims Process
Direct payment vs. reimbursement, average reimbursement time, documentation required, user-reported experiences.
Digital Experience
Mobile app, online portal, integrated telemedicine, digital onboarding process.
Transparency
Clarity of terms, documented exclusions, price increase history, proactive communication.
